The KT Difference

What separates the work is how we show up. You get a named owner on the account who stays present and is straight about what we can and cannot do. Fractional leadership and managed execution under one firm, whether that means IT, marketing, or both.

The standard

How we show up

Personal accountability is the standard. Own the work, stay reachable, tell the truth about scope and risk even when it is not what the client hoped to hear. That applies to every seat and managed team we run, IT and marketing alike. Clients stay because someone actually answers for the work.

  • A named owner you can actually reach
  • Present in your operating rhythm, not someone who disappears after the kickoff
  • Accountable for the work we said we would do
  • Hard news early, before it becomes a surprise

Tailored to how you operate

We shape the engagement to your goals, culture, and risk. Packages come after the brief, not before it.

Flexible seats

Need on-demand support, an embedded leadership seat, or a defined project? We match involvement to the job, and we work cleanly with internal teams and vendors you keep.

Strategy and execution together

Many advisory shops advise, then send the work elsewhere. Many operators keep the lights on and go quiet on budget or risk. We keep fractional leadership and managed execution under one engagement for both IT and marketing.

The firm

Leadership seats, not a catalog of freelancers

Klei Technologies has served Ohio organizations since 2014, from our Cincinnati headquarters. The dual offer is deliberate: a Fractional CIO/CISO seat for technology, security, and vendor control, and a Fractional CMO seat for positioning, budget, and growth. Managed IT and Managed Marketing are the operating teams under those seats when you want execution in the same firm.

How delivery works

Briefing to operate

Values set the standard. This is the path from first conversation to ongoing work. After engagement starts, the same ownership continues as orderly project cadence on every service: clear milestones, status, and decisions.

  1. Briefing

A short conversation on fit, constraints, and whether IT, marketing, or both belong in scope.

  2. Discovery

We inventory systems, vendors, channels, and open risks before we propose seats or retainers.

  3. Engagement

Clear owners, a written cadence, and scoped authority so leadership and operators know who decides what.

  4. Operate

Day-to-day delivery under that model: tickets, channels, reporting, and hard calls as they arise.

Partners and internal teams

We work with the people you already trust

Many clients keep an MSP, an agency, or strong internal operators. We seat leadership and fill gaps, and we work with the people you already trust.

Can you work with our existing MSP or IT staff?

Yes. Common patterns: we lead and your staff execute day-to-day; we co-manage with an MSP you keep; or we bring Managed IT in-house under the same firm. The fractional CIO/CISO seat owns the agenda either way. If your current operators are solid, we work with them.

We already have an agency. Can you still help on marketing?

Yes. Fractional CMO often starts by directing vendors you keep, cleaning up budget and measurement, and only taking channels in-house when it is clearly better. Managed Marketing is available when you want us to run the work.

How do IT and marketing stay aligned when partners stay in place?

The engagement model is shared even when execution is split. Site, CRM handoff, and analytics stop being orphaned between “the agency” and “the MSP.” Start wherever the pain is louder through Become a Client.

One briefing covers IT, marketing, or both. We use it to work through goals and what belongs in the first engagement.
